If You Have a Day In Season…
Pick up a picnic lunch at Slice of Heaven, and while waiting, check out the daily yoga class schedule at The Island Heron, grab a couple of our Shakespeare chairs and head to Beavertail State Park for lunch, water-gazing, and a local aquarium and lighthouse museum; or maybe just enjoy a great day at the local beach. Enjoy dinner at Beech Restaurant or Our Table Jamestown.
If You Can Stay a Little While Longer…
Spend an hour touring Historic Newport in a fun and different way; or maybe join an Audubon walk; or fly a kite at Breton Point (PDF). Antiquing in South County Villages and Newport is exceptional (please ask us if you are looking for a specific piece, we may be able to direct you to the best place to discover it!); and biking around Jamestown, Newport (PDF) and Narragansett is a great way to see the sights and spend an active vacation day.
If You Have a Week or More In Season…
Try a day in Martha’s Vineyard or Block Island for another taste of New England island life.
If You Have a Day in the Cooler Months…
Head over to Newport for a matinee at Jane Pickens Theatre; take the Astor’s Beechwood Day in History Tour, and finish the day with a great meal at one of many world-class area restaurants.
If You Can Stay Longer in Fall, Winter, or Spring…
Visit or even take a class at Clancy Glass Studio; or walk over to the Jamestown Library for a little local history or to take out an honor book; visit a local open house (most Sundays); or drive to Westerly or Mystic for great sights and shopping.
